Eric Mouquet, was born in Valenciennes 19 march 1960, he is the founder and composer of the band Deep Forest.
With DEEP FOREST, Eric was nominated two times for the Grammy Awards, He won the Grammy in 1995 for Best World Music album.
Same year, he won the fabulous Wolrd Music Award.
After the success of the Band Deep Forest and more than 5 millions copys sailed thru the World, Eric decides to compose and produce music for other international artists.
Hajime Chitose (Japan), Ana Torroja-Mecano (Spain), Catherine Lara (France)..etc..
In 2004, Eric works and collaborates with Josh Groban.
Eric composes and produces two songs for the album "Closer" whitch sold more than 10millions copys.
In 2006 Eric composes and produces as well two new songs for the Josh Groban album Awake.
Herbie Hancock plays his legendary piano on the song "Machine"
In 2007, Eric starts to compose the album Deep Brasil.
Always looking for new ideas, Eric meets the Chinese singer Sa Dingding , He composes and produces 3 songs for the upcoming album Deep China .
In June 2008 Eric starts the record label DEEP PROJECTS.
This label promotes musics inspired by the journey thru the World and the meeting with musicians.
The first release of the label is " Deep Brasil", a journey thru the Deep Brasil sung by a Brazilian artist "Flavio Dell'Isola".
The albums Deep Africa and Deep China are already onproduction and will be released for the end of 2008.
With Deep Africa and Deep China the magic of the sound of Deep Forest is Back !!!
